Steady Progress Since 2004 After years of advocacy, real progress began in 2004. Since then, more than $309 million has been invested to widen much of US 12 to four lanes through a series of completed phases:

• 2004 – Phase 1: McNary Pool to Attalia – $10.8M
• 2005 – Phase 2: SR 124 to McNary Pool – $12.1M
• 2007 – Phase 3: Attalia Vicinity – $16M
• 2010 – Phase 4: Wallula Jct. to Walla Walla Corridor Study – $5.1M
• 2010 – Phase 5: Attalia to US 730 (Preliminary Design) – $0.8M
• 2010 – Phase 6: Frenchtown Vicinity to Walla Walla – $51.6M
• 2012 – US 12/SR 124 Interchange & Overpass – $21.3M
• 2023 – Phase 7: Nine Mile Hill to Frenchtown – $161.8M
